CASSA Corporate Group leads reforestation campaign in El Salvador, planting over 1,000 trees

August 21 , 2025

CASSA Corporate Group carried out a reforestation volunteer initiative at the San Antonio V estate, located in Sonsonate Este, in the department of Sonsonate, El Salvador. Through this activity, more than 1,000 trees of various native species were planted by employees and their families, contributing to the ecological restoration of approximately 1.80 hectares within the Sonsonate Banderas hydrographic region.

The saplings used in the campaign were produced in CASSA’s own nurseries, which support reforestation projects and provide donations to multiple institutions. The Private Institute for Climate Change Research (ICC) provided technical assistance for the design of the restoration strategy, including the selection of appropriate restoration modalities, native species, and field activities to ensure successful establishment and long-term sustainability of the plantation.

This strategic alliance between ICC and CASSA Corporate Group reaffirms the commitment of both institutions to environmental restoration and climate change mitigation in the country. The initiative highlights the importance of coordinated efforts between the private sector and technical institutions to conserve and strengthen local ecosystems while promoting corporate environmental responsibility.
