Today we congratulate the 27 participants of the Community Adaptation to Climate Change Training, who have graduated from this capacity building process. The leaders from different communities of Nueva Concepcion finished successfully, therefore, they received their diplomas that certify that they have approved.
The closing ceremony was hosted at the La Union Sugar Mill and welcomed 27 participants as well as Lorena Marroquin and Otto Estrada from La Union Sugar Mill; Luis Montufar, Pablo Yax and Juan Andres Nelson from ICC. Madre Tierra Sugar Mill also contributed to the development of this training.
The training course was built up in three modules: integrated watershed management, adaptation to climate change, and disaster risk management. Each module was complemented with a fieldtrip. This training course is financially supported by the Scholarship Fund “Study Opportunity”, sponsored by the Association of Guatemalan Sugar Producers ASAZGUA, and executed by the ICC.
