The ICC is supporting the Indigenous community of Palín, Escuintla in a project for the conservation of forests. The Institute donated tools to create firebreaks to prevent the spread of fires.
Furthermore, the ICC provided the forest nursery with seeds and plants to support the restoration of areas affected by fires.
The municipal mayor, Architect Ricardo Quezada; the representative of the board of directors of the indigenous community, Don Oscar Raguay; professionals from the ICC; and members of the indigenous community of Palín participated in the activity.
With these actions we add efforts to forest conservation, restoration, and fire prevention.
