Today, the Community Adaptation to Climate Change Training reached an end in Pachalum, Quiche, where 27 people graduated, since they successfully completed the training course.

The training, sponsored by the Low Emissions Development LEDS project, and facilitated by the Private Institute for Climate Change Research ICC, was constituted of 7 formative sessions and 2 fieldtrips, one focused on integrated watershed management that visited the Coton sub basin, and the second to Salama, Baja Verapaz, focusing on adaptation practices to climate change.

The training started back in February and finished today when the diplomas that certify that they took and approved the training course were handed out to participants. Jose Furlan from the Low Emissions Development LEDS project, and Alberto Ramos, first councilman of the municipality of Pachalum joined the closing ceremony, along with Pablo Yax and Luis Montufar from ICC.
